This person is responsible for three pillars
1. Digital Marketing
improving digital marketing performance and the exposure and perception of the Companiesbrand in digital media;
Managing and working closely together with the regional C&SM and Digital Marketing Manager to manage South African website, all digital offsite activities, social media, eNewsletter and eDM, electronic sales and channel partner support platforms as well as eCommerce solutions;
2. Event Management
Trade shows and events are optimally prepared and realized and the project success is evaluated afterwards
Global standards are implemented for the event marketing area and adjusted to regional or country-specific requirements.
3. PR Officer
Act as a competent contact partner and advisor at the interface to internal stakeholders (corporate communications, national colleagues) and the media
Cooperate with Regional C&SM Managers in the development of the digital elements of the respective Marketing Plans.
Development of the local marketing plans together with the Marketing Team.
Ensure implementation of all digital marketing plan tasks to support country business plans and improve marketing performance and brand perception (from awareness to customer loyalty).
Actively manage local websites, and local offsite activities with particular focus on supporting the achievement of the local business plans and on improvement of efficiency ratios.
Implement, validate and actively manage local Social Media, eDM or digital sales supporting concepts in close alignment with the Head of Marketing and Regional C&SM Team.
Generate ideas to further improve impact of Digital Marketing in the country and work with Head of Marketing to propose for implementation.
Actively manage digital projects / campaigns and measures of the marketing plan with particular focus on supporting the achievement of the local business plans and on the improvement of efficiency ratios.
Serve as Digital Marketing Expert in the Sales and Marketing community
Define requirements for, and participate in customer perception research activities related to digital marketing
Drives competitive intelligence and trend scouting with respect to digital marketing activities in the country
Support the development and management of sales and channel partner support platforms in close alignment with key stakeholders
Planning and organization of the event logistics, booth personnel, coordination of hotel stays, lead management, promotion materials and additional booth equipment, in cooperation with the event manager (International shows) and external service providers in cooperation with the rest of the marketing team
Preparation of project meetings, budget, and project reporting, etc., in cooperation with the rest of the marketing team
Tools maintenance to support the respective event roadmap e.g. event database, local event schedule, etc.
Planning and realization as well as success monitoring of small trade shows, workshops and events, in coordination with the local marketing team
Public Relations Officer
Conduct PR work in coordination with Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications (processing media enquiries, preparation of content for and support of interviews and press conferences, topic management)
Ensure that the companybrand is continually projected positively in relevant media
Establish and maintain a network of journalists in South Africa in coordination with the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications
Research and create texts for media communications (press releases, special articles) in coordination with the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications
Become involved in the internationalization of media relations (Communication of topics, working processes and experience within the international PR network.)
Responsible for the effective managing of the receptionists, which includes their development, performance management and daily activities
Ensure that the reception area looks professional at all times
Ensure compliance with the Principles of Business and Conduct in the Group and local laws and regulations
Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health laws and other applicable regulations
Communications and Brand
Support Brand recognition
Responsible for Internal Communications within the department and/or company
Relationship-Management with relevant parties
Regulatory Affairs and Quality
Ensure compliance with corporate quality and environmental policies
Reports – Head of Marketing – SA
Post-graduate qualification in Marketing or a similar related business and commerce subject
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Digital Marketing or Communication function in an industrial enterprise or Marketing and/or Communication agency
Comprehensive knowledge in the conception and implementation of digital communication activities in a B2B environment
Business English (written and spoken)
Experience in managing external agencies
Broad knowledge in project management
Ability to travel and work outside of normal working hours if required
