Electrical Engineering Internships Requirements

Most companies only take candidates that are citizens of South Africa and between the ages of 18 and 30. Each company will have a variety of requirements as needed per career path, yet, there are some similar requirements.

Basic requirements are:

  • Valid ID book or card
  • Valid Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering   
  • Diploma or degree in related field
  • Computer literate
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must not have a criminal record

Depending on the company, some candidates may also be required to pass a medical and/or psychometric test.
