Council for Geoscience invites applicants to apply for Seismic Analysis Graduate / Internships Programme 2021. The interns are for a period of 24 months.
Overall Job Purpose: Provide scientific support to seismic analysis (i.e. locating earthquakes, ensuring quality assurance of routine seismic data analysis, assistance with earthquake moment tensor / focal mechanism analysis, preparation of seismic catalogs for research and reporting purposes).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- BSc or B-Tech degree in either seismology or geophysics, with an added advantage given to BSc Hons or MSc or Ph.D. (provided basic training included either seismology or geophysics).
- Applicants with the requisite degree and geological training (preferably structural geology) will be given an added advantage.
- Less than one-year experience in the relevant field

Stipend: R 13 000 Per Month
